Engagement formats

Three ways of working together.

Fractional communications director

Communication leadership without adding a director to your permanent staff. Inside your meetings and organisational dynamics, with agreed delegation and an NDA.

Project

One objective, one date, one deliverable: the assessment, the critical announcement, the communication plan, the AI policy.

Event or intervention

A leadership meeting, convention, workshop or keynote designed from strategy through to staging.

Proposals are developed on a tailored basis following a preliminary meeting and a client briefing. We do everything possible to meet our clients’ needs, and if something falls outside our scope, we say so.

Frequently asked questions

How does FGB Communications work?

We start with the problem and strategic direction, then translate decisions into messages, sequences, channels and practical materials. Federica retains strategic responsibility and the client relationship; we bring together the senior expertise the engagement requires.

Which organisations do you work with?

We work with companies, organisations and leadership teams when there is a defined challenge, a clear mandate and a budget aligned with the project.

What does “fractional communications director” mean?

It means Federica Grazia Bartolini takes on the direction of the company’s communication through an agreed engagement, attending leadership meetings as an in-house director would, with clear delegation and accountability.

Do you really make the materials, or do you coordinate an agency?

We make them. Communication plan, messages, announcement scripts, management Q&A, emails to employees, policies, content, event agendas and content. For specialist production — video, advanced design, development — we bring in specialists chosen for the project, under our direction.

We are adopting AI: is this change communication or the AI practice?

If the starting point is artificial intelligence adoption, we work through the AI practice while integrating change-management tools. If AI is only one workstream within a broader organisational transformation, the engagement starts with change communication. In both cases, we define the right scope with the client.

What is the Golden Bridge® Method?

It is the six-pillar framework (Brand & Beliefs, Reputation & Responsibility, Innovation & AI, Dialogue & Empathy, Growth & Leadership, Ethics & Authenticity) created by Federica Grazia Bartolini to communicate and lead change while building on what already works. It is described in the book “Governare l’impatto dell’AI in azienda” (FrancoAngeli, 2026) and on federicabartolini.com.
